Exactly 69 years ago, a Ukrainian set an NHL record that has not yet been broken

Bill Mosienko, a Canadian of Ukrainian origin, set an NHL record exactly 69 years ago, 23 pin up March 1952.

Chicago Blackhawks forward hit three goals in 21 seconds in a home game against the New York Rangers. This helped the Mosienko team win with a score of 7:6. This record is still held.

It is worth saying that in 1965 Mosienko was included in the Hockey Hall of Fame. In addition, in 1991, the Kiwantin Arena in Winnipeg was renamed the Bill Mosienko Arena.

Mosienko passed away in 1994 at the age of 72.
